MOSCOW, Dec 20 (PRIME) -- Moscow’s Tagansky District Court on Wednesday slapped a new turnover-based fine of 4.6 billion rubles on Google for a repeated refusal to delete illegal content from its video hosting YouTube.
“Google was found guilty of committing an administrative offence,” Judge Marina Orlova said.
The communications service drew a report for a repeated refusal to delete videos with fake information about the country’s special military operation and the information with LGBT and extremist content, forbidden in the country, from YouTube.
Google was fined for 7.2 billion rubles at the end of 2021 and later for 21.7 billion rubles for non-deletion of fake information about the special operation.
